2011 Proprietor's Reserve Chardonnay
Gold Medal - 2012 Tasters Guild International Wine Competition
Only carefully selected vintages and vineyard sites are used for our Proprietor’s Reserve label. These grapes were selected for their concentrated pineapple and apricot flavors. Soft tannins and vanilla frame the creamy oakiness of our barrel fermented Chardonnay. This well balanced wine will go well with creamy pastas or any white meat dish.
"Hold this baby up to your nose and guess its origin: some place in France, a cool mountainous area of Italy, New Zealand? OK -- you get the picture. It's delicious, with a ton of ripe fruit, lots of apple and pear and tropical fruit character, lovely spicy oak streaming throughout the palate and acidity for balance. It has a yeasty brioche character to it. It was barrel-fermented and aged for nine months, with monthly stirring of the lees." Sandra Silfven, Detroit News
